Santorini, Firostefani

Firostefani is just a short walk north from Santorini's capital Fira and can be reached by either the main road or the cobbled walking path along the Cadera on the way to Imerovigli. Although Firostefani is now a suburb of Fira it does have its own charms being higher up on the Caldera it has amazing views of both Fira and the Volcano.

Firostefani Village

Firostefani is made up of hotels , cafes, restaurants much like Fira but a lot quieter which is great as the main town of Fira is less than a 10 minute walk away. Firostefani's most famous building is church of Aghioi Theodoroi which is your typical blue domed Cycladic church, this church is actually on quite a lot of postcards from Santorini. The main focus of Firostefani is the church of Aghios Gerassimos and village square which you see as you first arrive in the village.
